Le operazioni di montaggi della struttura del telescopio a muoni sono state
quasi completate.
I tecnici e i ricercatori dell'INFN stanno testando la tenuta delle camere
di rivelazione.
Tra le prove previste questa settimana è di estrema importanza
l'individuazione della posizione dell'antenna GPS.
Dalle prove fatte fino ad ora pare che per ottenere una buona posizione del
telescopio a muoni sarà necessario portare l'antenna molto in alto.
Con il dott. Garbini porteremo la scheda GPS e il computer ai piani alti del
Fermi per effettuare prove per individuare il corretto posizionamento; solo
successivamente si provvederà alla sistemazione definitiva dell'antenna.
Siamo in attesa dell'esecuzione degli ultimi lavori per migliorare la
ventilazione della sala.
All'avvio dell'anno scolastico 2007-2008 il sistema dovrebbe essere completo
e utilizzabile per le previste attività didattiche e di ricerca.
Sarà necessario individuare una squadra di studenti e
docenti che parteciperanno alla
gestione del sistema e avranno la possibilità di partecipare a iniziative di
formazione a loro riservate.
